1. Introduction
Inclusive Bytes is committed to creating a positive and inclusive work environment for all staff and volunteers. This policy outlines the general expectations and guidelines for staff and volunteers at Inclusive Bytes.
1.1 Roles and Responsibilities
Staff: Employees who receive a salary or hourly wage for their work.
Volunteers: Individuals who donate their time and skills to support the organisation’s mission.
1.2 Staff and Volunteer Recruitment
Inclusive Bytes follows our Equal Opportunities Policy, Health and Safety Policy, and Safeguarding Policy when recruiting and appointing staff and volunteers.
1.3 Induction Process
All new staff and volunteers will undergo an induction process that includes:
Completing a new hire/volunteer form.
Providing references (if required).
Completing a DBS check (if required).

All staff and volunteers are responsible for maintaining a safe work environment. Please refer to our Health and Safety Policy for detailed information on health and safety protocols.

5. Code of Conduct
All staff and volunteers are expected to adhere to the following code of conduct:
Act with honesty, integrity, and responsibility.
Treat others with fairness, respect, and dignity.
Maintain open and respectful communication.
Be accountable in your role.
Raise any concerns you may have (see section 9, Problem Solving).
6. Confidentiality
Staff and volunteers are expected to maintain the confidentiality of all client and organisational information.
7. Social Media
When using social media, staff and volunteers should avoid posting anything that could bring Inclusive Bytes or its clients into disrepute.
8. Insurance
All staff and volunteers are covered by Inclusive Bytes insurance while on the premises or engaged in authorised work activities.
9. Problem Solving
Inclusive Bytes encourages open communication. If you have a concern, please discuss it with the Designated Staff and Volunteers Person or another Director (see section 10, Contact Details). Our Complaints and Grievances Procedure outlines the process for addressing concerns.
